History
Varieties such as Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, as well as Bacchus, Kerner and Schonburger provide a magical blend of old and new flavours. The vineyard, with its traditional winery and visitor centre, lies in the picturesque heart of the Sussex countryside. The sheltered valley where the Carr Taylor estate is found has been used to grow hops and fruit for centuries. The rich soil of Wealden sandstone and clay gives the wines a highly aromatic flavour and a lasting finish. The unique maritime climate in the region provides a long and cool growing period, which infuses a complex range of delicate flavours in their wines.
