One delivery charge: £9.75 to UK mainland
Rather than set up complex charges depending on weight, number of bottles, types of wine and so on, we think it is clearer to have a charge you know from the outset.
We charge a flat rate per delivery address, however large your order. Our delivery charge is kept as competitive as possible, and includes the packaging and postage or courier charges.
It costs virtually the same to send one bottle by post as it does to send a case of wine by courier. (We go to the post office, versus the courier company coming to us. The packaging costs are the same. The postage cost is comparable to the courier’s charges.) This does not mean you are penalised if you only order one bottle. It does mean that we absorb the difference if you decide to buy more, which is what we’d like you to do after all! The only exception is if you would like delivery to be to more than one address (which we are always happy to arrange) as the £9.75 charge applies per delivery address.

Delivery time: As quickly as possible!
We aim to dispatch all orders as quickly as possible. However, we generally do not send out wines on Fridays as they will sit in sorting warehouses over the weekend and are more likely to get damaged. Our couriers do not operate at weekends.
Therefore, wherever possible, orders placed on Monday morning to Thursday morning will usually be dispatched that day and delivered the following day. If placed after midday, they will be dispatched the following day and delivered the day after that. However, orders placed from Thursday midday to Sunday evening will usually be dispatched the following Monday and delivered on Tuesday.
Single bottle orders will be dispatched by post that day, if the order was placed before 3pm Monday to Friday, or the following working day, if that was not possible.
We currently use only two courier companies as we have found them to be reliable, with breakages being a rare occurrence. If wine does get damaged in transit, where possible, please notify the courier on delivery. Though we understand you may not be there to receive it, so alternatively please let us know as soon as you can as we will always replace it, with no additional cost to you.
